Andrea Caspari brings her uniquely funny voice and Midwest perspective to the stage as a comedian—and high school English teacher! She has been traveling the country for over two years doing 150+ shows in theatres and clubs with the Bored Teachers Comedy Tour, making hardworking educators laugh until they cry.
Andrea has a Dry Bar Comedy special (Don't Judge Me), is the co-host of the Teachers Off Duty Podcast, was the winner of the Clean Comedy Challenge at the famous Ice House in Pasadena, and was voted Funniest Female Comedian in Kansas City.
With 20 years of teaching high school English under her belt, Caspari knows what it takes to relate to the students. A favorite among staff and students, Caspari keeps her classes engaged and informed with unique projects and lively lessons. She was the coach of both 48th St. Players Improv team and the Stand-Up team at her high school. Caspari has also coordinated annual school fundraisers including Comedy and Cookies and Laughs for Lunches, a show to raise money to pay off all student lunch debt. She takes pride in mentoring students, several of whom are now professional touring comedians themselves!
Caspari earned her BA and MA in English from the University of Central Missouri, as well as her MS in Education with a focus on Teacher Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. She has a Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Writing from Missouri Western State University.
Caspari is a humorous motivational speaker for schools (K-12) and conventions, teaching faculty and staff how to stay positive and connect with at-risk youth. She incorporates humor and heart into messages as a keynote speaker or for professional development sessions.
Caspari has partnered with Corey’s Network, Missouri School Counseling Association, Missouri Association of Students Councils, and the Trevor Project to educate and entertain audiences of all ages.
Caspari was a freelance contributor to Frank and Funny, a line of products created by comedians for Compendium Cards. She also attends and performs at the bi-annual Erma Bombeck Humor Writers’ Conference and was named Humor Writer of the Month by the organization.
She is currently working on a book of comedic essays highlighting funny stories from her classroom—and beyond!
